Plastic foundation does not deteriorate over time meaning it can be re-used much longer than natural wax. It is also lightweight, more rigid, resists sagging, warping and damage from wax moths.
Plastic foundation resists pests like wax moths better than natural pure wax.
While initial cost is slightly higher, the reusability of the plastic foundation can lead to a lower spend over the long term.
